A solid followup from director Allan Ungar and star Josh Duhamel (2022’s Bandit), London Calling hilariously skews many tropes of old road/buddy movies, as a myopic hit man takes on a young acolyte. Great needle drops too, including the title track.

This movie started out strong, but once it landed to Los Angeles, the writers kept on ham-fisting American references every so often. A gamer goofball in an action movie with an insufferable father and the main character that is somewhat blind but still able to drive. There are CLEARLY two different movies here that got mashed together just for comedy sakes.

This was cute! I wasn’t sure, but it was cute… I do notice that Hollywood is now casting more chubby white kids to check the diversity box, but all and all, this movie had a nice story to it, and had some laughs. Nice to see Arnold and Rick! Thank you for casting them as us 1988 babies grew up watching those two

It was a good movie to watch at home, it had it's moments. I love anything Josh Duhamel does... It had it's funny moments. I am glad I ignored the 48% it was given. It was entertaining.

London Calling is a deeply disappointing film that fails on nearly every level. Despite Josh Jamal’s natural talent, the screenplay is chaotic and unengaging, leaving the story incoherent and difficult to follow. Scenes jump back and forth without purpose, erasing any momentum or emotional investment, and the film never finds a rhythm. The casting is uneven, with performances that feel underdeveloped and disconnected, making it hard to care about the characters’ journeys. Even moments that might have had potential are undermined by poor writing and lackluster direction. The dialogue often feels forced, and the overall pacing is frustratingly uneven. There’s little creativity or entertainment value, leaving the viewer disengaged throughout. While the premise might have had promise, London Calling collapses under its own disorganization. It’s a film that struggles to capture attention, entertain, or make a meaningful impression, ultimately feeling like a wasted opportunity.
