This film succeeds because of Qualley’s mercurial and tone-rich performance, the gorgeous cinematography from Todd Banhazl and a nuanced protagonist confronting both exterior and interior hardships. Go to Full Review

Manipulation is a given in this brand of weepie, as essential to the formula as martyrdom. If love means never having to say you’re sorry, I won’t apologize for blubbering through this movie. Go to Full Review

A beautiful, deeply sad film that understands grief is more than missing someone. Sometimes it’s mourning the life you imagined you could have had, and fearing that moving forward means leaving that life behind. Go to Full Review

Very little story even though it starts off ok… See more mark M @Doc65 1 day ago Excellent acting from great cast...heartfelt message brought out by Maya ...I felt her pain and anguish and brought back memories of my ER years.Grief may not be forgotten but can drift subliminally away over time. When art accomplishes this one task I believe one cannot complain. This movie is life, raw, passionate, terrifying, stunning, and the material is well- handled by both the director and Margaret Qually as the emotional glue. This is well trodden ground, but there is wisdom to be gained here. I chose to watch this based on a little nugget I picked up in the trailer. You have to love your own life. That really resonated. This is no waste of time. It’s difficult, but it’s beautiful. You will feel, and we need to feel for others, I surmise, all of us, just a little more, every day. I am no fan of critics , for I know the labors of creating art, so perhaps more could be said, but I think that’s enough. I hope anyone who needs to feel something will give it a watch. A final thought: if you don’t fix what’s broken inside of you, you will wind up bleeding on so many who didn’t cut you. See more thoughtful R @poetry.knows 3 days ago There is nothing deep, thought-provoking, or even remotely original about this movie. The love story feels incredibly contrived and unbelievable, relying on a series of boring, tacky coincidences that simply don’t happen in real life. There seems to be an attempt to make this an artistic and profound film, but it falls miserably short. The long pauses, lingering stares, and supposedly meaningful silences feel awkward, forced, and ultimately pretentious rather than emotionally engaging. See more Kara M @RT81702352 4 days ago As someone who equates life to physics and chemistry, I love this movie. The music on the the cassette leads her towards him, and as her grief fades, the iron oxide on that cassette fades ....until she can only hear white noise. Maybe this is how long it takes us to grieve, and the length of our grief is determined on how often we revisit our memory of them. I absolutely loved this film. I'm not normally a romance fan, but this film seemed real, with both feet planted. See more Read all reviews
