Blake- N @PBSAniDom Apr 24 Malibu’s Most Wanted tries to satirize culture clash comedy, but the execution feels uneven and often misses the mark. The premise has potential—a privileged white rapper wannabe trying to prove his "street credibility"—but the humor leans heavily on stereotypes that don’t always land well. There are a few scattered moments that work, mostly thanks to Jamie Kennedy’s commitment to the absurdity of his character and a couple of decent supporting performances. But the jokes are frequently repetitive, and the satire never really sharpens into something memorable or insightful. Tonally, the film struggles between parody and broad comedy, and it doesn’t quite succeed at either. What could have been a sharper cultural commentary ends up feeling more like a stretched sketch. Overall, it’s watchable in parts but mostly underwhelming. A 4/10 feels fair—there are ideas here, but they don’t come together in a satisfying way. I don't think it would past the test for this generation without someone being offended. The whole White Kong scene still cracks me up and it probably helps if you've seen Training Day to get the reference. It's got it's moments and is still worth a watch.
