Bruce Willis (DIE HARD franchise) and Megan Fox (TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN) lead a powerful cast including Emile Hirsch (ONCE UPON A TIME...IN HOLLYWOOD), Lukas Haas (INCEPTION), and Colson Baker (BIRD BOX) in this gritty and intense crime-thriller. While in Florida on another case, FBI agents Helter (Willis) and Lombardo (Fox) cross paths with state cop Crawford (Hirsch), who's investigating a string of female murders that appear to be related. Lombardo and Crawford team up for an undercover sting, but it goes horribly wrong, plunging Lombardo into grave danger and pitting Crawford against a serial killer in a twisted game of cat and mouse.

Critics Consensus

Dull and predictable, Midnight in the Switchgrass squanders an evocative setting and some committed performances on a would-be thriller that rarely raises a sweat.

If there were still shops around where one could rent or buy videos or DVDs, this is the sort of movie you'd expect to see in the straight-to-retail bargain bin.

It's a functional piece of exploitation - an efficient little crime-porn snuff-thriller potboiler. It's like a fast-food meal that makes you think, "Okay, that wasn't good for me, but I got what I paid for."

Midnight in the Switchgrass is the type of crime thriller that's so full of cliches that it becomes one big cliche itself.

Amid the sea of crime movie cliches and bland dialogue are a number of performances that are as unconvincing as the story itself.

Despite [Emile] Hirsch's interesting portrayal, not much distinguishes this from a "Dateline" episode.

Little slow at times and I was expecting to see Bruce Willis in a star roll but was less than impressed. It feels like he is in these past two movies to give them some credibility but he really doesn’t do much for the story line. Disappointing

The female actresses need to work on their acting skills! The movie could've been so much better if it also had better directing. It seemed like there were lots of lines missing or plot missing.
