The first manned mission to Mars in 2020 ends in disaster when three of the crew are seemingly killed and the fourth, Luke Graham (Don Cheadle), is stranded with no way to contact Earth. Jim McConnell (Gary Sinise), Woody Blake (Tim Robbins), Phil Ohlmyer (Jerry O'Connell) and Terri Fisher (Connie Nielsen) are sent on a rescue mission to find any survivors and determine what happened. Swerves into irreversible stupidity down the stretch, generally plays like a half-formed prequel to "Ancient Aliens," and ends like a Disney ride version of "Ad Astra." But Brian De Palma's hand is all over the sustained tension of the second act.

Mission to Mars (2000) Honestly, it's a very confusing movie with a totally random and bad ending. I was really enjoying the beginning, but then everything got worse.

Ugh, this was hard to watch. Miscast, mis-shot, misadventure. All tropes and none of them good. Depalma isn't as good when he was young and hungry. I think he was going for a modern 2001 and this was just not enjoyable at all. Won't keep or ever watch again. This is my 2nd viewing in 2025/ I saw it when it came out and had the same opinion.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Synopsis
