When she travels to Britanny to spend the weekend with her parents and siblings, her controlling mother invites her ex-husband Nigel (Jean-Marc Barr) to stay with them believing it will be good for Léna. Her dysfunctional family criticizes the unsecure Léna and interferes with her life. "Non ma fille, tu n'iras pas danser", a.k.a. "Making Plans for Lena" (2009), is a tiresome film about a complicated woman. Lena’s attitude is exaggerated and many families expects to help a daughter or a son, and this is the case of Léna’s mother, trying the best for her children. My vote is five. Title (Brazil): "Não Minha Filha, Você Não Irá Dançar" ("No My Daughter, Ypu Will not Dance") See more 04/09/2015 Perhaps a difficult film, but one that is worth the watch. I could not decide if I detested or felt empathy for the title character -- which is one of the reasons this film has a bit of magic within it.
