Charismatic magician Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) leads a team of talented illusionists called the Four Horsemen. Atlas and his comrades mesmerize audiences with a pair of amazing magic shows that drain the bank accounts of the corrupt and funnel the money to audience members. A federal agent (Mark Ruffalo) and an Interpol detective (Mélanie Laurent) intend to rein in the Horsemen before their next caper, and they turn to Thaddeus (Morgan Freeman), a famous debunker, for help.

The magic tricks are quite spectacular, especially one which features Ms Fisher floating above the audience in a giant bubble. But Now You See Me needed more sharpness for it be a really good film.

Once the investigation takes over, the Four Horsemen are relegated to the background, and we never see the behind-the-scenes action, which is one of the keys to any heist story. [Full review in Spanish]

Fun, fast, and a little messy, but still a good time. The magic tricks are cool and the cast makes it entertaining, even if the story gets confusing and tries a bit too hard to be clever. Not perfect, but definitely enjoyable if you want a flashy, turn-your-brain-off movie.
