bri J @RT74637925 Jul 10 this is an angry review. not at the movie, but at the other reviews. the majority of the paranormal activity movies are boring and uneventful. in this film, all the characters are compelling and i actually care if they live or not by the end. i liked the fun spin they did on the possession how it slowly crept up on jesse. great movie. good plot twist ending. i think people don't like this film because it's drastically is different from the ones before, but i think that's why the movie thrived. See more Declan D. @filmbuffkid Apr 6 Uh uh 🙄, yeah it was ok, the visual effects were pretty good for its franchise but it can be a little bit weird like for example Henry cavil’s face from justice league (2017), but it loses its fun without all the security montages as the night’s progress, the characters were pretty likable, but as this starts the spin-off saga, it just isn’t as memorable as the main saga was, but I’ll admit their are some fun moments with this movie, adding Sci-Fi into the story actually had me pumped with the time travel things, I give it a solid 6.5/10. See more Bret M. @BretM-3 Mar 21 This is probably my least favorite Paranormal Activity movie so far. The best part is the ending, but I'll get to that later. Starting off, I don't like how disconnected this movie feels. Everything up until now has been very tight and connected, but this movie only gets really connected at the end save for a few small Easter Eggs throughout. I did find the new characters to be fun and entertaining, but not as good as the characters from the previous movies. I gotta say, this movie still does some messed up stuff. I felt so bad for the little chihuahua being tortured by a possessed Jesse. Poor little guy! But the absolute best part of this movie is the final few minutes where it finally ties back in to the previous 4 films. We see the main characters go to the Creepy Grandma's house where they're all murdered by Jesse and the Coven of Witches there. Overall, this movie is alright. The ending is the best part, other than that, it’s pretty average.
