Critics Consensus

Jason Statham is game as usual, but Parker is a thoroughly generic and convoluted heist movie.

Poor J-Lo: there was a time when she co-starred with George Clooney, but 15 years on from Out Of Sight she's just a third wheel in this uninspired vengeance caper wherein The Stath is shafted by the Mob and vows payback.

We like you, Jason. You're perfectly acceptable in near-silent, pseudo-Asian action nonsense. But you, sir, are no Lee Marvin.

Works well enough to prove [Statham] has more than physically demanding stunts in him.

It's not overly violent, exploitive, gratuitous, or edgy in any manner and the story is severely lacking creativity.

Even with low expectations for an action flick, the plot of this movie is needlessly dumb and has to no real reason to include JLo. The action isn't enough to overcome how clumsy this movie is.

This movie proves that Jason Statham doesn't have what it takes to play a James Bond type. Lopez comes across as being in need of the paycheck.

You have to suspend realism. The fight between Stratham and Bernhardt is stupid. What director would allow Bernhardt to still be alive after being smashed across the head with a heavy object who then falls hitting his head and breaking his neck. It's things like this that weakens the film. So many directors ruin their films like this.
