This movie reminds you of the forthright, unselfconscious storytelling energy that popular Hollywood films had in the 1950s and 60s, the era of sword-and-sandal. It’s a rather amazing adventure. Go to Full Review

Calling “Ramayana” epic may be a cliche, but there’s really no other word that would suffice. Go to Full Review

Ramayana is the finest, detailed, extended adaptation of the Indian epic, ever since Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan. Go to Full Review

Tiwari’s film serves as an inadvertent reminder that the Ramayana needs no embellishment to prove its magnificence—and certainly no lackluster cinematic treatment to diminish it. Go to Full Review

It might easily dazzle viewers with its big-budget visual effects and celebrity names. But the wooden acting and bland dialogue make much of this long-winded action/fantasy movie look like soulless programming generated by artificial intelligence. Go to Full Review

Manages to be both terribly unexciting and largely watchable. Go to Full Review

Karthikeya J @karthikeya 23 min ago Just watched Ramayana and can't put it into words. Yash's entry as Ravan is massive, and the music is outstanding. Ranbir as Ram felt like watching Ram himself, this is how Lord Ram should be shown, with values and courage. Ram and Sita in one frame is pure spectacle. The Shiv Dhanush episode gave me goosebumps, the lead up to vanvas hit hard, and Pushpak Viman with Jatayu is a top highlight. Loved how they showed Sita's warrior side. Some scenes drag a bit and a few asura VFX shots feel unfinished, but not gonna nitpick. Big step forward for Indian cinema. There are a few places where the CGI feels off, but it doesn't take away from the experience at all. The songs sound great. Overall, it is a must-watch on big screen, highly recommended in the original Hindi version though. See more Surriya R @Majesticstunner 1 hr ago Absolutely loved the experience! The VFX are beautiful, the visuals are stunning, and honestly, every frame is a treat to watch. DNEG has done a fantastic job. The music is another big highlight for me. I really enjoyed the blend of Indian and Western sounds. It feels fresh and works so well for a film of this scale. The action sequences are also very well done and engaging. Ravana, Rama and Sita were all wonderful. Their performances felt convincing and made the characters come alive. Watched the English version and didn't really notice any issues with the AI lip-sync. It blended in surprisingly well. Will definitely be watching the original Indian version (3+ hours) soon! My favourite moments were Rama leaving the kingdom and heading into exile. That entire sequence was beautifully done and genuinely emotional. Another scene I loved was Ravana speaking to the ten versions of himself. Such an interesting moment! Overall, thoroughly enjoyed it. Do watch it in IMAX, it was amazing See more Piyush J @RT27960611 2 hrs ago Never thought I would like it this much masterpiece really really good just sai pallavi is good but casting could be better maybe I am wrong but really masterpiece See more Nimi L @Nimz123 2 hrs ago Waste of money. Pls don’t go with very high hopes. See more Ananya S @RT55331528 2 hrs ago Huge disappointment! Ram is the worst performance of Ranbir ever. Yash is good. See more Read all reviews
