RT740 Jan 13, 2025 Soild crime thriller (well acted by both the young women - protagonist and antagonist, tight plot) made on a modest budget. This is what creativity is all about. See more

Fifty T @RT01421419 4 days ago I went into Rekhachithram expecting a standard procedural, but I was pleasantly surprised by how deeply its cold-case mystery pulled me in. The steady, deliberate pacing gives the story plenty of room to breathe, making the unraveling of the central investigation genuinely satisfying. What really clicked for me was how the filmmakers blended a fictional murder plot with real 1980s Malayalam cinema history... even as someone who missed the regional nostalgia, I could still appreciate how clever and atmospheric that meta-touch was. Asif Ali leads a rock-solid cast with a delightfully grounded performance. Sure, I found some of the aging makeup a little tacky in places, and relying on the Hindi dub meant losing a bit of dialogue nuance, but neither issue ruined my enjoyment. 7.5/10: It's a smart, atmospheric thriller that delivers both solid investigative rigor and a surprisingly heartfelt emotional payoff.
