Based on the popular video game, Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez star as the leaders of a commando team who must break into "the hive," a vast underground genetics laboratory operated by the powerful Umbrella Corporation. There, a deadly virus has been unleashed, killing the lab's personnel and resurrecting them as the evil Undead. This movie doesn’t understand why the games work. You can’t just put zombies in a place with an Umbrella logo and act like you ate. It also has too many bodies on screen to give us tension. It feels like a Lady Gaga escape room.

If you can manage to shut off your brain, you might allow yourself to get caught up in its claustrophobic action, which has sufficient production value to keep your mind off of the ludicrous storyline.

this movie is such an insult to the game series i feel like plucking my eyes out so i dont have to watch this trash, alice is not a character of the game and they make her the main character and where is stars team, chris, jill, barry, well they are not in this movie instead we get a group of unheard group of men and women come to this place, oh yeah its not the mansion and run by a stupid computer known as the red queen, has she got anything to do with the game, nope and she runs everything a freaking computer, and going back to the team, well they are all useless and all get killed off in a laser room the minute they show up. my god what a wreak of a movie and the director wrote this garbage and had his wife as the made actor and like i said before a character not seen in no game. 2/10

Don't go into this expecting too much but this was a really fun horror zombie flick. Loved it for the time it came out and its still a fun watch.

Fun in the same way Spiderman 1 2000 is. If you know what you’re getting into, this movie is an absolute blast and a really cool way of portraying another zombie apocalypse storyline. Despite having absolutely nothing to do with the games, it’s still enjoyable for zombie fans like myself. You’ll laugh more than once
