Far and away one of the best video game adaptations I’ve seen, and also one of the best horror comedies. Austin Abrams couldn’t be better playing a silly charmer with just enough fight and determination. It’s a pitch perfect performance.

A roller coaster ride of The Thing inspired gore, thrilling pace, with sharp jumpscares, punctuated with hilarious main character interactions and reactions to the absolute cosmic-body-horror level shenanigans going on around him. A decadent horror film for lovers of films like Evil Dead and Terrifier.
