Even though the final product didn't completely blow me away, I still admire "Rich Flu." It takes risks, tries to say a lot, and at the very least, it can't be accused of lacking ambition. [Full review in Spanish]. Go to Full Review

The central premise of this satirical sci-fi thriller is an interesting one that questions what happens if there's a shift that crumbles society's capitalist structures—in this case, a very deadly shift. Go to Full Review

Awkwardly combining a dystopian science-fiction thriller with an anti-capitalist satire, this muddled saga of socioeconomic class warfare suffocates any worthwhile messaging in heavy-handed sanctimony. Go to Full Review

Hope for a potent conclusion is lost when editing can’t shape a more succinct understanding of corruption. Go to Full Review

An ambitious, 100% Spanish film with a big budget, shot in English with a solid international cast, magnificent workmanship from national artists and technicians, Rich Flu offers more than a 25-second shocking hook. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The style of Gaztelu-Urrutia's film is reminiscent of other dystopian futures, although it does not achieve the same visual and narrative intensity that is required of it. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Steven S. @G0dJester 1d There’s an idea in this that could be a much better movie. The narrow world view in the film and choppy presentation makes it underwhelming and meandering. The characters feel irrelevant and exist only to push the underlying message rather than the story. Would Not Recommend See more Vash A @RT62745705 5d This movie came across my Netflix feed and I watched on a whim. Based on the synopsis, I expected an admittedly cliched moral lesson to the story. That would’ve been preferable to what was delivered. I nearly didn’t finish it several times. It quickly turned into the ‘hate watch’ you don’t need in your life. Unfortunately every aspect of this movie is terrible. The plot, the script, the acting, the ‘messaging’. It’s fair to say most movie flaws can be overcome with a likeable Heroine. Well, a story needs characters that are at least minimally engaging and likeable. The lead was an awful rotten to the core billionaire. I find myself disappointed every time she survived. It highlights a huge issue when the makers of the movie wanted us to ‘root for those vulnerable billionaires’. In general, the whole the whole direction of the movie was laughable and the character arc was shallow. No, society wouldn’t crumble if the wealthiest caught a virus. See more Jared R @Jk_GoodVibes 6d The movie wasn’t nearly as bad as people have made it out to be, or giving it negative reviews. I love post apocalyptic movies and with this cast line up it wasn’t bad, while a little rough in the beginning and a little confusing it gets better in the second half. Overall not a bad survival story especially with elites taking a dirt nap. See more Aldis H @plever May 31 Philosophically, the premise is strong, but as far as plausibility, it requires the largest suspension of disbelief in the history of the universe. This might have been okay, but the laughable premise makes the "narrative," if you want to call it that, cause there isn't much of that, and the third act is interminably long. This movie gets slower and slower, and then the end is ... eh. See more Kristin R. @igobykristin May 30 Not sure why this movie isn’t up for awards. It’s telling the story of every person who lives underneath the billionaires - 99% - who work to make people rich. The social implications are obvious. The immigrant analogy is clear. It flips the script and man, I guarantee if every citizen sees this and rises up together - a literal civil war… we actually might make things better. Anyway, great movie!
