Steve S @Steve_Spall Jan 24 I wasn't familiar with the artist Robert Irwin before seeing this film. And although it's far from my artistic standards, at least conceptually, I'm grateful to the director for creating such a layered and explanatory work. Afterward, I began to delve deeper into how Irwin worked throughout his career, relating to the landscape and the social fabric. This also helped me gain an alternative vision of certain areas of the United States, usually impoverished by stereotypes that have always been peddled to us Europeans. The film is essentially a documentary. But it has rhythms and atmospheres that are at times very narrative. Music plays an important role in this. The director made thoughtful choices that lend an emotional thread to the entire film, making it accessible even to non-experts. Pieces by the legendary Roedelius, the great Italian musicians Morricone and De Caroli, and even Bach and Mozart. An artistic documentary that integrates the discussion of art with art itself.
