EL TARF 36 @Aala36 Oct 16, 2026 A complete waste of time and an insult to reality. Rose Island tries to disguise its weak script and predictable plot under a cheap layer of cheesy, feel-good romanticism. Instead of delivering a smart political or historical drama, it’s a tedious and frustrating watch that completely shatters any logic. Don't bother wasting two hours of your life on this hollow mess See more Lorenzo G @garofalo_lor Feb 6, 2026 A pleasant movie to watch, linear, plain and rather simple. Acts are ok, I love the historical part of it, even though it was fairly romanticized. I would have loved even a more complex and realistic interplay between politics, media and the events. See more Torin F @nonlinearize Aug 5, 2023 ROSE ISLAND offers an entertaining adaptation of true events in late 1960's Italy. There are interesting anarchist underpinnings that give the story an inspiring air, but it's also true that nothing much happens, on the island or in the film, beyond some parties and some expected conflict and resolution, bringing a few people closer. Perhaps there's deeper insight right there---such is probably the case with most bold endeavors, and the film delivers this sense quite admirably. It was on Netlfix. See more Justin V @RT90662955 Jan 27, 2023 the acting feels natural and easily drew me into feeling the stubbornness and determination of the characters. Unlikely and amazing as the story sounds, knowing this is a true story grounded me into the reality of the moments these people lived, and the realisation that we should always do what we believe in. This is not an action movie. What goes on are emotions not scenes. See more Read all reviews
