(CC) Catch Her If You Can. 'Roberts and Gere confirm their status as an eternal screen team' in this delightful laugh-filled romantic comedy. Roberts plays small-town girl Maggie Carpenter, whose marches down the aisle become a series of near Mrs. when she bolts before saying 'I do.' Gere is Ike Graham, a cynical, big-city newspaper columnist eager to write a tell-all story about Maggie. Cliche story with lack of chemistry between Richard Gere and Julia Roberts.

Why does Runaway Bride feel so off? Why does it produce such halfhearted laughter? This is the sort of Hollywood tale in which everything seems to have been decided by committee.

Runaway Bride is an atrocious bit of by-the-numbers screen filler.

Julia Roberts, as a small-town charmer with a history of breaking off engagements at the altar, and Richard Gere, as a reporter sent to write about her, still deliver a perfectly pleasant rom-com.

The pic is sweet, well-played and a bore.

The predictability of this romantic comedy co-starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in no way detracts from its humorous charm.

The plot and progression of this movie do not make sense. The movie suddenly turns into a different story and vibe than the first half.

It is definitely a chick flick. In this movie you can definitely see the chemistry between Richard Gere and Julia roberts. The same chemistry they had in the movie pretty woman. There are parts of the movie that are kind of ridiculous. But that's one thing about rob-coms they don't always make sense. But they are fun to watch.

It's an interesting concept, but a story that's hard to love; Richard Gere and Julia Roberts may be a perfect match in appearance, yet there's little spark or chemistry between them. The root of the issue lies more in the superficial script design, which never truly delves into the depth of the characters.

Honestly I had high hopes for this movie, I’m a huge fan of pretty woman and love the chemistry between Richard and Julia but this movie was just terrible! It looks appealing from the cast, director ect but it was just awful. I’d never felt so let down and disappointed with a movie in all my life. The ending was so rushed and typical, they’ve known eachother a week and for the most part hated eachother, there was no chemistry then suddenly they are kissing and getting married. It’s just so strange! Then she runs away again from the man she supposedly loves and k has no remorse or guilt about it. Then she low key "apologises" and they get married anyways! Ugh it was just awful. I felt so angry after watching it like I’d just wasted my whole night.

A movie that could be entertaining if you’re into simple romantic comedies and if you value a wedding as the most important event in a woman’s life. If not: you are probably bored out of your eyeballs, just like I was. The scenes look Hallmark-pretty en that’s kind of cute. But all the time I kept wondering: why get married and putting yourself through all this misery? Stop making marriage so important… To me this film is mainly a waste of great acting talents like Julia Roberts,Richard Gere en Joan Cusack and an accomplished director like Gerry Marshall. Such a shame…
