Sue B @RT16526092 1d Seed of Yesterday is a massive disappointment that completely fails to capture the haunting aesthetic of Flowers in the Attic or Petals on the Wind. While those films had a certain dark charm, this installment is populated by characters who are ugly inside and out, making it impossible to root for the people you once loved. The new generation is depicted so poorly that you feel zero sympathy for their plight. They lack beauty, grace, and magnetism, coming across as nothing more than despicable people—with the sole exception of Jory, who remains the only bright spot in an otherwise bitter and unpleasant viewing experience. Avoid this if you want to keep your fondness for the original story intact.
