What to Know

Critics Consensus

Putting director Sam Raimi's penchant for diabolical mayhem to great use, Send Help doesn't need any assistance in thrills thanks to a very game Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien along with a viciously clever script.

Audience Says

Rachel McAdams is Linda Liddle in Send Help, a Raimi-delivered, unhinged survival horror thriller that keeps you guessing and laughing -- and you best don’t confuse her kindness for weakness.

As a genre experiment, it's a down-the-middle good time at the movies that offers thrills, chills and gross outs galore. No need to send help, Raimi's got this territory mastered. Go to Full Review

A gloriously over-the-top battle of wits that plays out like a violent mix of Cast Away, Misery, Lord of the Flies, and a day out with Bear Grylls. Go to Full Review

Send Help, if you can stomach it, is a delight. It doesn’t take itself seriously at all, has a little something to keep everyone on their toes, and is led by two great performances. Go to Full Review

It seems as if the film wanted to be The Blue Lagoon meets Misery (1990), except we skip over the part where the woman is a fan of the man and we land on her simply wanting to punish him. Yet, it's not really about her punishing him. Go to Full Review

Although the film is not a masterpiece like The Evil Dead or, in a much more measured way, A Simple Plan (1998), it is a fun example of Raimi being back on track. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Juan 28m sam raimi did amazing with this one See more Gina F 5h Very intense, well laid out thriller - Rachel McAdams was excellent in the main role. This is an exciting "mess around and find out" story for any manager, to show them what happens if they disrespect their employee(so). See more Roy J 5h Excellent performances and fun gross out thriller. Highly recommend! See more Stacy W 7h I thought it was very entertaining and funny and exciting to watch. I really enjoyed it. They both did a great job with their acting. See more Juandi 7h What a fun ride this was. Most definitely do not consider this a horror film. It’s more of a suspenseful comedy than anything else. Both leads played the hell out of their roles. I’m a big Rachel McAdams fan & she never disappoints. See more Andrew 7h A bit of a slap stick horror. I was torn between wanting to live on the island permanently or signaling my rescue. Worth watching loved the twist. See more Read all reviews
