What to Know

Critics Consensus

Seven Days in Utopia finds a noteworthy cast struggling to engage with lackadaisical drama, overwrought themes, and a predictably staged narrative.

This is a bland, uninspiring, uninteresting story that hammers its message so blatantly and so often that it's surprising you can come out of it without a headache. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

George V @SpecForce Aug 7, 2026 As a golfer with two sons that play as well. This movie was about never giving up. If you play the game you will some really good days, months, or years. Then it all goes south. This movie teaches you to believe in your abilities. Awesome for the family to watch together. See more Bill T @btreakle Jul 7, 2026 “Seven Days in Utopia “ This was probably one of the most touching films that Robert duvall’s ever done along with Lucas black who stars as a golfer in this film. Through many life lessons and soul searching brings this young man back to trusting in God. This great movie 1 I highly recommend and I’m not going to give too much more away than that uh just gonna have to see the film for yourself. Definitely a touching performance by Robert Duvall I think you will really like this film ,so I highly recommend this one to everybody of all ages. See more Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life Jun 15, 2026 Look I'm all for the spiritual sports movies and I get it,it's not about whether or not he makes the put but whether he learned something. The whole time in Utopia was one long golf lesson by the entire town essentially. There was a love interest that we never got to see where it goes which was frustrating. Overall this was predictable but fun. Tim Treakle See more Greg H @Halvinator1 Feb 24, 2026 Excellent movie, great message… Well worth the time and popcorn. Enjoy. See more E C A @ARCHERE308 Feb 17, 2026 One of my favorite movies that I recommend to any sports athlete struggling with all the "voices from the gallery". The fact it includes faith, love and belief in more than the sport is a bonus. I don't see this as a faith based movie, even if it is, or was meant to be. It helps put the pieces together over an hour and a half of life lessons compartmentalized into a meaningful message. Now the Bobby Duvall is gone, it rises up even higher for me.
