This is a loud, visually busy, offensive in its obviousness and virtually empty computer-animated film from DreamWorks. Go to Full Review

Out of all of the movies by DreamWorks Animation, I’d place Shark Tale among the weakest features they’ve made. If not, then THE worst. Go to Full Review

As it is, it's an adequate time-killer that benefits from an impressive voice cast... Best of the bunch is Martin Scorsese as puffer-fish Sykes, sounding like he's sucked on helium. Go to Full Review

It's awful and is without a doubt one of the worst mainstream animated films of the last 20 years. Go to Full Review

James E @RT74230286 5d This just goes to show that you should definitely not read reviews before watching !! Recommend to anyone with kids who want a nice funny family night , as this film after all is made for kids , shark tail is goated anyone hating on it just over analysis everything like most reviews these days I find pathetic See more Talula T @RT90318009 Mar 14 I don't understand all the hate. Movie is vibrant, and the animation are still cartoonish, funny and is impressive for 2004. Best sound tracks. Clever references from the culture at the time. Oscar wanted to be seen so much that he is blinded sided and tells a big lie. When he gets confronted Angie, Oscar changes his mind about his superficial life, and when he goes to tell her how he feels his lie catches up to him. He decides to tell the truth. Its a simple concept kidd can understand. Lenny's story is the opposite he lies to avoid being seen, and runs away. One story is about someone trying to conform so much they forget themselves and the other is about how someone is forced to conform so much they can't be themselves. I think a lot of people can relate one way or another. There's so many good msges in this movie. I love it See more Mariana T @M.Tezeta Mar 1 Even as a child, I wouldn't have enjoyed it. The soundtrack is definitely the best thing about it. Everything else is unnecessarily straightforward. The protagonist just makes me feel apathetic, and the other characters seem like ridiculous clichés. There's a lot of absurdity, even though I tried to take it seriously. A forgettable Dreamworks film with animation that made me uncomfortable. There are things that would seem incredibly absurd to me, even as a child, like Oscar's job or Lenny wanting to be a vegetarian. It's a children's movie, yes, but it's as if they were saying: let's ridicule the funeral and focus more on Oscar's financial schemes and his nightly revelry. On the positive side: The character design was good. It's a cheerful movie to watch once in your life and take away the straightforward message. I'll take that away from it, along with the varied music. See more Tomasz T @Tom1994 Feb 11 A complete disaster and stupid story. A Fish pretends to be a Hero and by admitting he was lying achieved nothing. Really don't recommend this to anyone. See more Her M @Hermommy Jan 27 I love this movie, not sure where all the hate comes from. Its a kids movie about what can happen when you tell a lie and how you have to be a better person and fess up. Really cute message, hilarious movie great casting... I mean there's a Marley as a jellyfish!! Too funny. Have a seat Rotten tomatoes and let the kids have this one. It's a really cute funny heartfelt movie. See more Issen K @Ellie337 Jan 20 To be honest, it was the worst movie that I ever saw until Megamind 2 came out, the character development was low and there is a lot of pop culture references and even a predictable plot.
