Melissa L @Agent99 Dec 26, 2025 It's a '70s movie...it's okay for a '70s movie. It was a "slasher," but not like the '80s slashers. It's not bad. See more

Julian S @akajulianscott Nov 26, 2024 It nails the chills, but a sloppy transfer drags it down. See more

Dec 25, 2020 Dragged down by a poor transfer and one too many scenes shot in almost total darkness, Silent Night, Bloody Night's 1970 filming date and use of certain camera techniques and plot devices at least earns the dour picture its proto-slasher pedigree. Also distinctive for its strange dialogue delivered in an exceedingly deliberate, near lifeless style by its actors, Theodore Gershuny does manage to create a uniformly unsettling vibe and cobble together some oddly captivating scenes. However, even a new restoration may not be enough to overcome the flick's sloth-like pace, convoluted plot, and almost total lack of fun. See more

steve d @RT35616104 Jul 16, 2020 Really slow horror film with no scares. See more

Jun 28, 2016 1970's slasher flick is no better or worse than many, many others of its era. See more

Dec 20, 2014 Pretty cool christmas slasher/who-done-it, but towards the end it introduced too much unrelated and confusing storyline. See more
