Sorry to Bother You is as much a character-driven story about the gentrification of Oakland -- and the Bay Area writ large -- as it is an absurdist anti-capitalist fable. Go to Full Review
Jourdain Searles Bitch Media 02/05/2019
A hilarious, intelligent, and socially relevant satire of American business and capitalism, and hands-down one of the best films of 2018. Go to Full Review
Simon Childs New Statesman 12/20/2018
While Sorry to Bother You is off-the-wall and hilariously bizarre, its message is firmly grounded in the recognisable injustice of a system whose decadence is seeing it teetering on the edge of collapse. Go to Full Review
Calum Cooper Source (Scotland) 07/14/2024
The concept is brilliant and the characters, both benign and despicable, are a lot of fun to be around. The colour palette is lustrous, the dialogue is enthusiastically snappy, and the comedy is consistently effective. Go to Full Review

Cali 4 @Cali404 3d "Sorry to Bother You" is a colourful, humorous, crazy trip that starts well but has little, to no self awareness of when to stop the cocaine fulled madness. See more Gregory N @GregoryMN 4d Absolute trash, a snoozer with the pretension that stating the obvious is insight. Funny, no one complains about the racial stereotyping of "white people". It's just sophomoric. Who made such an unfunny, unimportant, boring flick? See more R. F. F @RT36265540 5d Peak absurdist capitalist horror comedy. See more Jereme O @Jereme 6d The movie started off good. Then got really dumb. Has good intentions until dumb things begin to happen. The almost naked art show and the sex scene in the mansion were the best parts of the movie. See more Elijah N @filmcritic0085099 Mar 2 Had to watch for a film class, worst and most disgusting movie I've seen. I never thought I'd have to complain about a film sexualizing horses. Pointless, shallow, empty, and a waste of time. See more Renee B. @MadCat728 Feb 23 Brilliant and constantly surprising. Absolutely loved it. See more Read all reviews
