Critics Consensus

Though it occasionally stalls, Talladega Nights' mix of satire, clever gags, and excellent ensemble performances put it squarely in the winner's circle.

Playing to his strengths, star and co-writer Will Ferrell reaps many good comic moments early on in Adam Mckay's feature to compensate for a sluggish second half.

The disappointment of this movie is not that we don't see enough of Will Ferrell. It's disappointing because what we do see, we've seen before, and better.

Ricky Bobby may not be as well known as the other RB [Ron Burgundy], but the film's carefree silliness has plenty of funny bits and pieces.

Watching this movie for the first time since its initial release twenty years ago it basically is a feature film length Saturday Night Live sketch with its silliness, its characters and catch phrases that has left an impression to many NASCAR fans.

Shake N’ Bake baby. Really fun and comedy filled movie, definitely was laughing and entertained throughout the whole movie. This movie was loaded with American sponsored, crazy how many companies were mentioned or shown. Definitely a fun and comedic film that I would recommend people to watch if they haven’t seen it before. I’m guessing the directors/writers gave Will Ferrell the freedom to be himself while still sticking to the Ricky Bobby character script. Shout out to Will Ferrell, and go get em Ricky Bobby. 🏁
