Junie Moon (Liza Minnelli) is in the hospital, after her face has been disfigured by her deranged boyfriend. There she meets two other patients -- Arthur (Ken Howard), who has epilepsy but has been misdiagnosed as mentally retarded, and Warren (Robert Moore), who is gay and in a wheelchair. The unlikely trio of outcasts decides to move in together and manage to enjoy a series of adventures as they endure various forms of prejudice and struggle with their own issues.

05/13/2021 not great, but it passes the time. See more 12/03/2020 I always cite this as the worst movie I ever saw. It was so cringe-worthy I'm surprised I didn't suffer muscle spasms. I only stayed through it because I was at a drive-in with friends. See more 10/18/2017 When I finished this movie, I thought, “WTF was that?” This is one of the weirdest movies I have ever seen and not in a good way. The plot is convoluted and it is pretty slow moving. Not one I need to see again. See more 11/03/2011 Dated drama of three misfits still offers some fine acting by Liza Minnelli as a scarred, both physically and emotionally, young girl. Made just before Cabaret this is the last time the subdued non star Liza persona would be evident in a film. She speaks a line here "What would I do with sequins?" which while true for the character evokes unintentional laughter since the performer is now unimaginable without head to toe sparkles of some kind.
