'The 47' tells the inspiring true story of how one man and a stolen bus changed a neighborhood's destiny. When Barcelona's City Council claimed that public transport couldn't reach the Torre Bar neighborhood--claiming the streets were too narrow and dangerous--resident and city bus driver Manolo Vital decides to prove them wrong. His solution: drive The 47 there, himself.

One of the key messages of this film...is that dignity is not something abstract. For the people of Torre Baro...it is water, electricity, a roof over their heads, paved roads and, in this case, a bus.

A socially-conscious and enlightening true story of peaceful revolutionary zeal causing real change. Anchored by an incredibly charismatic leading performance by Eduard Fernández, it’s easy to see why it’s captured the heart of its home audiences.

The 47 is the kind of movie that reminds me that meaningful change often begins with ordinary people refusing to accept injustice. What I appreciated most was that it doesn't rely on grand speeches or larger-than-life heroes. Instead, it focuses on a working-class community fighting for something many of us take for granted: access, dignity, and a voice. Eduard Fernández gives a grounded and heartfelt performance, making Manolo Vital feel less like a historical figure and more like a neighbor standing up for what is right. The film's greatest strength is its sincerity. It celebrates collective action without feeling overly sentimental, showing how small acts of courage can leave a lasting impact. At the end of the movie, I felt inspired not because the story was extraordinary, but because it showed what ordinary people can accomplish when they refuse to be ignored. A moving and timely reminder that progress is often driven from the ground up.

the 47 is an uplifting, real-life inspired story about standing up for your community. It’s sincere, emotional, and quietly powerful—less about heroics and more about everyday courage that actually changes lives.*
