The boomer afflictions that create the situations in “The Best You Can” -- physical, mental, financial, attitudinal -- are handled gently, though with enough weight to provide a foundation for the charm brought by Ms. Sedgwick and Mr. Bacon.

I'm sick of Fake Reviews! There was no reason to make this movie. It wasn't funny and it wasn't interesting. There were numerous, irrelevant side-stories that added nothing to the movie except screen-time. I kinda-chuckle once, but the rest of the time, I sat waiting for any word, sentence, or scene that was remotely funny. Never happened. Perfectly flat and boring movie.

Admittedly for the 40+ range, this movie is the warm, close-to-home kind of flick I needed to see right now. Sedgwick-Bacon duo sparks are tremendous.

I enjoyed this movie so much! It’s funny, moving, engaging, has great music, and most importantly — it’s so well written and acted. Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon bring such chemistry and intelligence to their indie film. They are clearly having fun. I’m so glad they made it and that I saw it.

Hmm. Anyone who doesn't like this film must have a stick up his or her ass. (crude and uncalled for, I know, but echoing the rhetoric of the haters out there). No, seriously, I laughed out loud (while on an airplane) many times, and just enjoyed it from start to finish. A little cringy (adult themes), I'll give you that. But otherwise it was a perfect movie. The banter was delightful and unpredictable, the pacing gorgeous, the ending sweet but not saccharine. If you enjoy a RomCom that won't put you to sleep, The Best You Can Get is the film for you!

Despite the good performances, this movie is unwatchable....its attempts to be cute are condescending or trite or cliche. Also, I do not need to see text messages with the character's doing voice over in a movie. What is the deal with the ageism embedded through the first half of the film?

Wow. Absolutely horrendous movie. Good themes, but beyond slow and boring. This was a lazzzzzzy movie. The ending was possibly the worst ending of any movie I have ever witnessed.
