The Farm is hollow; a somewhat interesting idea padded out with a lot of uninteresting filler. For a scant 80-minute run-time, this film drags. Go to Full Review

Tracey B @RT03976670 4 days ago The acting is horrendous, the cinematography is somehow even worse. The sun is shining bright outside, yet we magically can't see what we're supposed to be looking at, in shots that linger far too long and sometimes rely on unnecessary, terrible CGI. The worst is that the protagonists are just the absolute worst kinds of judgmental hipster snobs on planet Earth, who seem to be speaking on behalf of the filmmakers, themselves. These characters are entirely unsympathetic. Logistical issues aren't worked out in the slightest, such as the fact that a grown adult could absolutely demolish a flimsy pet crate, from the inside, with ease. Rural diners have specials, you morons. 5 minutes on this trip with that hipster liberal chick, had me rooting for whomever or whatever awaited her. It's like they projected all of their anti-rural, classist stereotypes on what they THINK people act like, outside the city, and made themselves look like a-holes in the process. See more
edi S @edi_sullii 5 days ago this movie literally has no plot. there are so many plot holes and inconsistencies and i don’t even know what to say since ive already complained about this movie enough in real life. See more
Beckham S @beckhamstephenson Oct 29, 2026 This movie is driven on more of a message than it is plot. I feel like that's the most important thing to mention when considering The Farm. The plot is generic, and so is the script. It follows the classic couple getting kidnapped in spooky town on road trip. That essentially outlines the plot; we've seen it before. Most of the meat in this film is its message: a critique on commercial farming, and internalizing that improves the quality of the movie. The details like the masked employees being primarily non-verbal, especially in scenes where the perspective is a captive's, it's all a metaphor for what you see in commercial farming. With that being said, the visuals are disturbing and some gut-wrenching. The "shock" aspects are really just trying to drill in a message. The cinematography was absolutely stunning, well lit, creative shots, visually pleasing, good SFX. The audio adds miles to the mood. More of an art than most films. Don't expect something conventional, would recommend. See more
dr. R @Yes123456 Oct 29, 2026 A fine movie indeed, The Farm provides an interesting experience. It weens you in through a trope riddled slasher build up first act, only to flip the formula on it's head, and quickly remove all cliches, leav you with a grungy, stripped back, low dialogue, mood horror piece. The Farm's unsettling tracking shots and slow torture sequences really burn into your mind. The last shot was incredible, and it seemed to mimic the last supper. 3.9/5 See more

helen A @RT32394708 Sep 2, 2026 Wow!!! Just Wow!!! I thought Martyrs (Original) was dark but this went to a whole new level of insane watching - Loved every minute and my stomach dropped at the 2 last scenes - If you are into dark, macabre and weird then this is a must watch - I wasn't keen on the music but I guess it was there to mess with your mind alongside the 70's horror vibe cinematography.
