No one will ever confuse Lou Ferrigno with Daniel Day-Lewis, but he certainly has a presence. Go to Full Review

The Hermit legitimately surprises with an icky final act reveal (and deftly-used needle-drop) that elevates the material. Go to Full Review

Larry D. @RT12606056 6d Never mind one battle after another. This should have won picture of the year! See more William W @Jojoboxer2 Mar 12 Total fun. Stands horror movies on their heads. Entertainment from beginning to end, and a joy to look at. Hats off to the producers! See more Carla B. @carlabailey Mar 4 Fantastic movie!! Really enjoyed it! Highly recommend!! See more David S @RT03784094 Mar 4 Had a great time with this movie. It was a nice fast 87 minute watch with some laughs and some quirky horror tension. Lou Ferrigno was great and Melina was absolutely brilliant! See more PVD H @PVD_Horror Mar 2 The Hermit is an ambitious film, taking a simple premise and adding its own unique direction and format, mixing mockumentary style with typical story format. While this gives the old backwoods hermit takes city folk captive narrative a different feel, it also adds an element of needless narration that could ultimately all be demonstrated visually as the film goes on. I can definitely appreciate the effort, but ultimately it is like souping up a Toyota Corolla, gives it a fresh look but its still a Toyota Corolla. What really stands out here though is the return of Lou Ferrigno as The Hermit. He was actually really great, not over acting and instead just utilizing his imposing size and stature which is really all that was needed. Lou is such an imposing figure and is the heart of this film. The Hermit adds an interesting twist at the end which does help the film, however, it could have come to the same conclusion without the unnecessary interview style prior which only weighs it down.
