It is that mysterious light in the darkness that draws in the weird.

A repeating piano ostinato that bears criminal similarity to Hans Zimmer’s Cornfield Chase in Interstellar fails to evoke the transcendentally hope the 2014 film did. Nolan understood the effect of time and what it steals from life; Silverstine doesn't.

A profound, poetic, and cerebral sci-fi movie that explores philosophical themes about what it means to be human.

The Infinite Husk is taking a big concept and whittling it down to its essence, which works most of the time, and offering a mainly analogue sci fi story about the nature of the universe, time, and existence feel both scientific and poetic.

The film’s ideas are sometimes a bit too big for it to handle, but it’s an impressively high-concept premise done on a low budget and has a strong, albeit bleak, worldview that carries it through to its bitter end.

'The Infinite Husk' plays out like a mushroom trip through time and space that excels with its visuals but falls flat for lack of purpose.

Wow! Visually striking scenes with a storyline that reaches into the deep experiences of what it means to exist in a human body

The Infinite Husk was a bland film that never really captured my attention. I struggled to understand what it was trying to accomplish, and ultimately, I never became invested in the story. The movie felt boring and flat, with very little happening to make me want to keep watching. For the most part, it simply sat there without generating any real interest. The screenplay was rough, relying on back-and-forth storytelling that never seemed to move the plot forward. The cinematography did not help either, feeling as though it was trying too hard to create something meaningful without delivering the impact needed to support the story. Everything felt disconnected, and the film never found its footing. The actress did a decent job with what she was given, but her performance was not enough to make the story more compelling. There was little buildup, and nothing really encouraged me to see where things would go next. Overall, The Infinite Husk fell flat, failed to hold my attention,

Wish I could have given a negative Star. The ending left me so confused. Was super boring all they did was sit at a table for the entire movie. The infinite conversation at the table should be the name.

This movie stuck with me for weeks after I saw it. While the point may be a bit overdone I appreciated the performances and what the film reached for on such a limited budget. It achieved way more than many big budget blockbusters.

I saw The Infinite Husk in SXSW 3 times. It it a cerebral Sci-Fi that reveals more layers with each viewing. The premise of exploring humanity through the experience of extraterrestrials is powerful. This is not an action Sci-Fi. There are intense moments, but it's the thought-provoking revelatory journey that brought me back 2 more times in SXSW. I'll be seeing it again in LA on it's opening on 2/6/2026.
