Joshua P @joshuapikenns Jul 20, 2026 Some critics wanted a more traditional horror movie, but that misses what The Lurking Man is trying to do. It's less about jump scares and more about the emotional battle its characters face. If you meet it on its own terms, you'll find a thoughtful indie with genuine heart and a satisfying ending. Joshua Z @joshauzzaaa Jul 20, 2026 Rather than relying on cheap scares, The Lurking Man builds its horror through guilt, fear, and personal struggle. It's an earnest indie that may not be for everyone, but its emotional payoff gives the story lasting weight See more

Davi G @davidrgru Jul 20, 2026 More psychological than terrifying, this flick takes its time but finds its footing with sincere performances and an uplifting message See more

Kelvin B @kelvinbosssy Jul 20, 2026 The Lurking Man is a slow-burning indie horror drama that puts emotion ahead of scares. It won't satisfy viewers looking for nonstop horror, but its heartfelt story about addiction, redemption, and second chances makes for a rewarding watch with a strong final act See more

Thomas C @thomasccc Jul 18, 2026 I liked that this wasn't trying to be a nonstop jump-scare movie. It's slower, more character-focused, and the emotional story ended up being the biggest strength. Not perfect, but it stuck with me after it ended. See more
