This is boring, and it's partly that believability thing. How many alienated outsiders do you have to gather together before they become insiders? Alternatively, they are all so good-looking, smart and well-heeled, they are winners, surely.

In not following the status quo and for being more honest than angst-ridden, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is an extremely soulful and satisfying challenge for the normally fluffy or unrealistic high school setting of movies.

Love love love this movie. I’ve watched it three times and i’m still obsessed. Charlie is pretty relatable and it’s another reason why I love this movie so much. Definitely deserves to be seen by everyone at least once.

At first I thought that it was a regular high school romance with the main character switching from being bullied to finding love but the movie is not about that at all . It is really worth watching it , getting another perspective of things and people with an interesting yet beautiful ending .

I look at this film at two different levels. First, I can remember being an awkward high schooler. I even made a mixtape or two. Second, I have the perspective of a high school teacher. I appreciate how the movie highlights the impact a good teacher can have on a student. Paul Rudd plays the teacher, he recognizes Logan Lerman is knowledgeable about English but doesn’t like to speak out. Rudd doesn't pressure him into being more extroverted, he accepts him as he is. The group dynamic they establish in the film feels very real to life. A high school friend group can quickly go from best friends to worst enemies. On the downside, there are various emotional beats that feel unjustified or completely ignored. There are plot points that are more explored in the book that the movie just glazes pass. Be prepared, this movie isn't all that funny, nor is it particularly romantic. It is just a whole lot of drama, so get ready for that.
