What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Sadness lives up to its title with an unstintingly grim -- and overall effective -- slice of dystopian horror.

The Sadness is one of the more aggressively bleak, disturbing, and depraved horror films I’ve ever seen. Go to Full Review

Jabbaz’s movie isn’t exactly deep, but it does effectively channel his free-floating anxieties in ways both excessive and appropriately nasty. Go to Full Review

"The Sadness" is an exercise in extremity, and while the helmer has all the gore and ugliness imaginable, he neglects to create a pace to the endeavor, which never feels alive as it drags from one makeup effects display to the next. Go to Full Review

Uriah D @RT17139086 5d I came across this movie on Instagram and I thought "oh, why not? Cuz what's the worst that could happen.." yeah.. totally underestimated this movie. The idea of a zombie that clearly knows what it's doing is terrifying in its self let alone it doing EXACTLY what it wants to.. slight spoiler but I think the most twisted scene would definitely be the hospital scene. That is just.... "HOLY FUCK!" was my first words. There's nothing horror about this. It is just straight up diabolical. Mexican cartel type shit. But if you really like gore and zombies and.. well the idea of fucking someone in the eye... Then be my guest. :) See more Ivan B @RT57850736 Mar 15 I'm a huge fan of the crossed comics and i still couldn't stomach it as easily as i thought. Definetly not for everyone BUT if you are a fan of zombie franchise, and/or prefer your movies crunch realistic, then it's a score.
