'The Settlers'... challenges what we are taught (and not taught) in history books. It is asking us to question said history and to acknowlege that all colonies were established through violence and genocide.

Intentionally slow and drawn out which I found a bit dull and lacking information. It’s a sad and brutal depiction of colonialism with beautiful cinematography but for me it was a struggle to stay engaged at points. The stunning shots and mystery saved it for me.
