Enfolding such critiques into a movie that addresses tender and universal anxieties about what it means to be remembered is harder, and the humane touch of the final sequences makes Conners’ debut into a small but real achievement. Go to Full Review

A decent, if somewhat slight, Hollywood drama. Go to Full Review

Jazzily scored and cut, The Uninvited hangs in the Hollywood hills and vibes like a ’90s indie. It’s no Swingers but it’s well-acted and makes entertainment of its earnest themes. Go to Full Review

In general, the trouble with The Uninvited is that it’s rife with tropes. The excitement and tensions of the first two acts dissipate in the second half of the film because so many cliches crop up....And it’s all been seen and done before. Go to Full Review

Conners has created a brilliant film the likes of which we haven’t seen in a very long time. Go to Full Review

It's a clunky, over-theatrical movie-industry satire. Go to Full Review

Jess S. @JessWatchesCinema 1d A boring slow burn that leaves you more confused than anything See more Frans B @FransB Apr 30 Very well done. Great directing by Nadia Conners. Well and thoughtfully written. Great cinematography and visually appealing. Whole cast very convincing in character. Draws a lot of lines between self doubt, reality and dreams. Complex emotions, drama, intrigue, suspense and real life challenges colors the picture perfectly. Entertaining and thought provoking See more Avindu G @RT86379654 Jan 1 The chaos of loosing the glow and fading away into the choses realities with no more alternatives is portrayed in the best possible way in this story. Witty dialogues and funny mishaps suited well for these middle aged characters played by a seasoned cast. Excellent visuals and audio. It's a heartwarming story about picking the right battles and being mature enough to reflect ourselves in the ones who's ahead of us in years of being here. See more Susan W @Suebonnet Jul 26 I rarely pay to watch a movie before it comes to a streaming service to which I subscribe (at no extra cost), but I've been wanting to see this one for a while. The cast was superb. I've only recently realized Walton Goggins is more than the bad guys he usually plays and is really a versatile actor. Of course, Pedro Pascal, Hollywood's new favorite, is always great to watch although I wish his part had been bigger. The twist of Sammy having lost his job because of a misstep with a co-worker with no hint of it until he tries to lure Gerald away from his agency was a big surprise. I was sorry Helen didn't make it but although she as a major focus in the movie I didn't care that much about her character. All in all, it was worth what I paid to rent it. Still cheaper than a movie ticket. See more Les N @Vegas628 May 26 A few hours of someone's life and the end of someone else's. See more Leah C @RT94705961 May 18 I feel like the actors tried really hard here but I just found it really hard to watch … just awkward … weird pacing, the low budget seemed obvious, it seemed unrealistic that the wife spent so much time inside just hanging around (with the old lady guest and her son) while all the party guests were outside. At the end of the day, it was just really boring! See more Read all reviews
