Mate P @matepolcz Jan 30 ***SLIGHT SPOILERS*** The World's End is wild! The characters are flawed, likeable and they have arcs. The story is pretty intriguing on its own, but when it takes a turn everything changes. I couldn't really decide to think if it was real or just they got really drunk. Then I realized Andy didn't drink until that point. This is the goofiest alien thing I've seen and it works, I don't know how, but it definitely does. Probably because it's not self-serious at all. The directing is great and the cinematography is very well in tune with the story, because it's just as wild. The editing is also fire. The production design is okay, but I love them for not shooting in a fancy environment or studio, because this proves that your regular neighbourhood can look good on film. The soundtrack is great too, but what else do you expect from Edgar Wright? The cast is huge, almost every time someone showed up on the screen I became the Leo meme. See more Thomas W @Misterw18005 Jan 4 Admittedly, it was outright weird to see Simon Pegg and Nick Frost switch their signature screen personas around in this film, but they did so with groundbreaking skill! The action scenes were choreographed so well, the cameramen might have been involved in the fights themselves, the quip about one of the characters getting a hard-on in his youth was hilarious and the special effects were excellent! While I assume it wasn't intended by Pegg and Edgar Wright to make the ending a cliffhanger, it could certainly step up to the challenge if necessary. The only bad thing? Nick Frost's performance as Andy Knightly literally scared me and his berserker scenes had me cowering behind my pillow! Al principio arranca lenta pero toma forma con el giro argumental y a partir de ahí es una montaña rusa que no se sabe para adonde va a ir. La historia si bien es flashera tiene un planteo y mensaje que resulta bastante interesante de analizar. Mejor de lo que esperaba, me encanto.
