Director Yeon Sang-ho makes smart use of the cramped quarters, and while it's true that his zombies' abilities tend to vary according to the requirements of the moment, it's easy to overlook amid the onslaught of action and emotion. Go to Full Review

Christopher H. @BananaCramps 14h Fun action horror with anime tropes. See more Bret M. @BretM-3 2d This movie was awesome! I loved everything about it! Firstly, I just love the visual vibe of this movie. It looks like Toho's Fest Godzilla short films, and I absolutely love that! I also love the portrayal of the zombies in this film. I mostly think of zombies as slow, lumbering creatures, whereas this movie depicts zombies as fast, animalistic, and almost rabid. They have a feed for humans, and they will climb and crawl all over one another just to get to that human. It ups the stakes and keeps the adrenaline going. It has those peaceful, thoughtfulI, story and character developing moments in between that flesh out the world, but as soon as those are over, it's back to full throttle zombie mayhem, and I'm a huge sucker for it. I also thought that the acting was very good in this movie. Especially the main dad. Overall, this movie was a pleasant surprise that totally satisfied me. This is now probably my favorite international horror film. Definitely check it out!
