Especially when you compare to more modern movies like the Wick franchise. Still cool to see an early Statham movie, but it's more comical than I remember.... The car chases in the beginning are very smooth and the fight scenes are really inventive, particularly the bizarre oil and pedals fight. Just a plain and simple action movie. The action scenes were fast paced, the car chases were thrilling, and the hand to hand combat was some of the best I've seen in an action film. What I loved most was how cool and composed he stayed, even when everything around him was falling apart. The movie had the perfect mix of action, suspense, and style, making it impossible to look away. If you're a fan of action movies with great fight scenes and high-speed chases, this is definitely a classic. A solid start in the 3 movie Transporter series. A unique premise that implied a diversion from the Jason Statham formula but happily it ended up sticking to what works.
