See more Tantan N @RT61502864 Apr 29 Ive rewatched this so many times. The slow start and cinematic attention to surroundings makes you feel as though you're right there. As someone who's lived there and been on those trains, the accurate depiction right down to the mysterious Frenchman on the train is fantastic. Some critics are saying they don't understand Jesse's depiction with her supposed bad girl past but Jesse is portrayed very well -humans are not one dimensional. She has clearly attempted to transition over and failed in some areas. "A bad girl past" it doesn't mean that she went around working as a double agent murdering people. This honestly deserved an award- the actors were excellent this script was excellent and I normally find holes in everything I watch. It's just another example film well done that will never the recognition it deserves. See more Jack V @RT39985633 Apr 20 Like everyone else says this movie does start off quite slow. You know right from the first meeting between Roy and Jesse with Abby and Carlos that this sketchy couple is gonna draw them into a dangerous situation. The movie didn’t have to spend half an hour on this. The most annoying part was Jessie‘s character. Despite her bad girl past, she never comes across as having a hard edged cynicism so that her reaction to Carlos‘s death and how she handles being questioned under extreme duress are inconsistent. See more Jelisije J @jjosifovic Feb 22 A very slow paced film where an American tourist couple travels by train in Russia meets a young couple and get involved in a plot and scheme to which you can predict every scene for 2/3 of the films run time. While this film is competent and overall makes sense its just way to predictable and slow paced for my liking to really rewatch this film again.
