Written and directed by the team of Natalie Musteata and Alexandre Singh, the film gathers strength as it goes and plays like a “Twilight Zone” remake of Todd Haynes’ “Carol.” Go to Full Review

Wonderfully acted and stunningly shot in ice-cold black and white, “Two People” shapes chillingly clever details and patient direction into a potent reminder that few things are more dangerous to authoritarianism than tenderness. Go to Full Review

An uneven Euro-art bath of unrealized intimacy and casual violence but is given exquisite tautness by the elegant, unrequited swooniness of stars Zar Amir and Luàna Bajrami. Go to Full Review

Renee C @RT31418217 6d Out of the 5 shorts this was the worst. The other 4 were great! Can’t believe this got an Oscar. Boring, made no sense, tedious. Just plain stupid. See more John E @RT38545467 Mar 14 Long, tedious, repulsive, so supposedly intellectual. A poor remake of "La Dolce VIta" in an alternative universe, perhaps? At a time when very real violence is afflicting the globe, it is sad that advantaged artists can say little more than this. See more Kalissa H. @kali_416 Mar 12 Dystopian done really well. The dystopian world is not explained which is not necessary for this work. The point is the character, not the society itself. It’s a love story that takes place in an interesting setting which made me entertained the whole time. See more Julie S @jds958 Mar 9 I cannot recommend this film. I can't even say what's about. I spent the whole film trying to understand the meaning of slapping as payment, the breathing into someone's face when starting work, the garlic gum, the disdain for teeth brushing, and ultimately came away totally befuddled. It's like a joke that has no point. See more Lora C @LoraG Mar 9 We saw this as part of a collection of Oscar nominated shorts. While aspects of it were striking and engaging, there were so many unanswered questions by the end that it was just a little unfulfilling. Worth the short time it takes to watch it though. See more Jordan P @jordangpittman Mar 8 Is this commentary on capitalism? Fascism? Puritanism? Violence? I have no idea. It was not good though. See more Read all reviews
