Slickly directed by Peter Collinson. Go to Full Review

It is rare to find a portrayal of a gentle young man without any air of effeminacy or saintliness. Dennis Waterman does the whole difficult thing exactly right. Go to Full Review

[It assumes] good acting is the automatic result of a deep, uncritical, tough, saccharine grubbiness. Go to Full Review

John T @RT39995400 May 17 I watched this movie last night and it’s absolutely rubbish , the ending was bad and I’m stlll baffled , are we supposed to feel sympathy for the leading man that stole a car ? See more 05/08/2020 I saw Up The Junction many years ago and liked the natural performances of Adrienne Posta and Maureen Lipman who acted really well. And Suzy Kendall acted well and looked great with Denns Waterman. On Facebook we have a group called (Up The Junction Film 1967 Suzy Kendall Dennis Waterman Adrienne Posta) with 583 members including Adrienne Posta and Tony Klinger Producer on the film and Sound Editor Ron Taylor. We have several interesting pictures and videos. Please take a look. See more 08/21/2016 Slightly dated British slice-of-life drama. See more 06/28/2010 Entertaining bit of drama, posh bird roughs it because she wants to make her own way in the world, without being a 'parasite'. Lots of eventful stuff going on, and very atmospheric. Music is good too. And it's fun to see some familiar faces when they were much younger. See more 12/02/2009 brilliant film & it sort of reminds me of the story of the Buddha in a way. See more 07/26/2009 The lead characters are a vibrant whirlwind of bouffant hairdos, dirty laughs and the latest brightly coloured 60's fashions that spin into every alley way and crevice of 60's Battersea exposing the grim realities of their daily lives for us all to see. At the eye of the storm is Polly (anna?) a plum voiced princess from Chelsea who chooses this life over her own getting a job at the factory and living in a bedsit. Polly's brief act of rebellion however innocent proves destructive when she allows Peter a removals boy for a secondhand furniture dealer to fall for her. Emotions run high and reality looms closer to reach an inevitable conclusion. Excellent 60's drama. See more Read all reviews
