See more Melissa M @Lisey Apr 27 Once again Amy Heckerling has come up with a fun and campy movie. If she is never received an award for best director she definitely deserves one. This is the most fun campy vampy film since Once Bitten & Love At First Bite. Every vampire movie has to have a Van Helsing in it. It wouldn't be complete without one. Wallace Shawn is perfect for the role. The meet-cute how Joey & Stacy meet is vampa-rific. Every time Taylor Negron is in a film that's usually for a brief second. But it's always the funniest 1/2 second of the movie. Malcolm McDowell always plays offbeat characters. His portrayal of Vlad the impaler doesn't bite. Sigourney Weaver is always fun to watch. Hollywood has it Scream Queens. But she is the queen of camp. Poignant ending both sad and happy which is difficult to pull off but somehow it does.
