Really strong performance from Dakota Fanning. Go to Full Review

“Vicious” is mostly a numbing slog. Fanning flatlines when left to be a solo show as Bertino whacks her around like a pinball, hitting big, loud scares that seem to keep resetting. Go to Full Review

Bertino and Fanning are deeply committed to going to dark places, and they take us along for their freaky little ride. Whether it makes sense or not. (Probably not.) Go to Full Review

The new horror fable is bolstered by a simple premise, a tense atmosphere, and two powerhouse performances that shape the narrative into something both achingly relatable and earth-shatteringly horrifying. Go to Full Review

Michael C 3d Holy crap this movie was freaking amazing and so much better than the hate people are giving it!!! Great horror!!! See more Andrew G. @AndresBueno 5d The premise is decent but there is no follow through and it is never tied together. No reason to care about the characters - and no reason to care about the story because it is never explained. Add that to a large portion of the screen time being dedicated to Dakota Fanning’s cries and screams in addition to annoying phone ringers - there isn’t much to walk away satisfied about when you reach the ending. See more Joe W @JoeWasik Jan 26 While not making much sense, this is pretty scary. See more Steven t @SST609 Jan 22 Fanning is very good and carries the film nicely. I would like to see more in this world to fill in missing details. See more Red in D @redindenver Jan 17 I hate movies like this. There's no rhyme or reason to it -- and it's not even really scary (at least to me). It's just watching some poor woman being tortured for hours on end. And although I usually find slasher movies pretty boring, I LOVE true horror movies. But even just the thought of torture of any living thing makes me sick to my stomach. See more Austin H @BurtxMacklin Jan 11 I hate movies that doesn’t explain the origin of the story, (why is this happening) seem like these are what most writers and directors are doing nowadays.. Could have been an ok movies if there wasn’t so many f’n plot holes.. See more Read all reviews
