The premise is decent but there is no follow through and it is never tied together. No reason to care about the characters - and no reason to care about the story because it is never explained. Add that to a large portion of the screen time being dedicated to Dakota Fanning’s cries and screams in addition to annoying phone ringers - there isn’t much to walk away satisfied about when you reach the ending.

I hate movies like this. There's no rhyme or reason to it -- and it's not even really scary (at least to me). It's just watching some poor woman being tortured for hours on end. And although I usually find slasher movies pretty boring, I LOVE true horror movies. But even just the thought of torture of any living thing makes me sick to my stomach.

I hate movies that doesn’t explain the origin of the story, (why is this happening) seem like these are what most writers and directors are doing nowadays.. Could have been an ok movies if there wasn’t so many f’n plot holes..
