Really strong performance from Dakota Fanning. Go to Full Review

“Vicious” is mostly a numbing slog. Fanning flatlines when left to be a solo show as Bertino whacks her around like a pinball, hitting big, loud scares that seem to keep resetting. Go to Full Review

Bertino and Fanning are deeply committed to going to dark places, and they take us along for their freaky little ride. Whether it makes sense or not. (Probably not.) Go to Full Review

The new horror fable is bolstered by a simple premise, a tense atmosphere, and two powerhouse performances that shape the narrative into something both achingly relatable and earth-shatteringly horrifying. Go to Full Review

Jeffrey P @vanillavoodoo1 1d Great ominous build of suspense and tension that also allows a bit of gruesomeness to shine but with an ending that drags a bit and leaves something to be desired. See more Stephen S @smanofsteel76 2d This movie made no sense. I had no reason to like the characters. The horror was all random and made no sense. I want back the almost two hours I spent watching this. See more Tatiana H @RT44399775 Mar 14 Vicious was a decent watch. It was somewhat surprising to see Dakota Fanning take on a role like this. In certain moments, her performance even evoked a young Amanda Steinfeld. The film presents an interesting premise, particularly with the dark twist surrounding the three items the bride receives for her wedding. What initially appears symbolic takes on a far more sinister meaning as the story unfolds, giving the narrative a unique spin. While the movie may not be particularly frightening, it does deliver a few effective jump scares and maintains enough tension to keep the audience engaged. The twist toward the end ultimately makes the watch worthwhile. Overall, I would recommend Vicious to viewers looking for a darker, twist-driven horror experience. See more Sidney E. @SidneyRenee Mar 1 Was really good until the ending. Felt like it was trying to add more context instead of just closing the story we had been following. See more Nicole B @Timbergaff Feb 22 Really enjoyed this film and Dakota’s performance. I’d definitely recommend this. Not sure why the hate. See more Avindu G @RT86379654 Feb 18 A horror story about the physical manifestation of darkness in one's mind. The attempt at maximizing the genre effect with extended scares and clever audio effects was fruitful. Great cinematic effects. Dakota Fanning was perfect for the Polly's role. Great performances by the whole cast. Vicious has great thematic twists that'll keep any movie lover entertained. See more Read all reviews
