John Patrick Shanley, who created the classic MOONSTRUCK, brings his sweeping romantic vision to Ireland with Wild Mountain Thyme. The headstrong farmer Rosemary Muldoon (Emily Blunt) has her heart set on winning her neighbor Anthony Reilly’s love. The problem is Anthony (Jamie Dornan) seems to have inherited a family curse, and remains oblivious to his beautiful admirer. Stung by his father Tony's (Christopher Walken) plans to sell the family farm to his American nephew (Jon Hamm), Anthony is jolted into pursuing his dreams in this comedic, moving and wildly romantic tale.

The script feels old-fashioned, offering contrasting results throughout the duration of the movie: sometimes it is adorable, sometimes reprehensible. Nevertheless, it offers warm moments filled with nostalgic longing for romantic epics.

I love this movie! It is my comfort movie for when I'm feeling down. I love Emily and Jamie relationship, the animals, the music, the song, the beautiful cinematography of the countryside. It is such an escape film for me.

A truly awful film! Love Emily Blunt but even she was awful! No wonder it free on YouTube. The only redeeming aspect was the gorgeous Irish landscapes and the weather, if you like rain. I tried to like it but alas no.

Well, I thought it was lovely! Yes, the stereotypes are heavy, but the dialogue is quite good. Emily Blunt is especially fantastic. The dance between the two characters in the penultimate scene is masterful—it reads like a stage play, and it’s quite marvelous.

I thought it was charming. It had a warm and endearing quality. It balanced humour and heart and I thought the characters were very lovable and it had a lot of sincerity and was whimsical heartfelt.
