Critics Consensus

While Woman is a little less heavy-handed than other message movies, it still feels like an After School Special.

Tatyanna G @RT79975694 Jun 3, 2025 This movie succeeded in telling the story it wanted. However it felt emotionally unrewarding and completely deserted the viewer in this experience. I understand that this movie was showcasing the reality of survivors of sexual assault, which it does. What it fails to do is allow the main character to know peace which essentially makes it feel like trauma porn. See more Apr 22, 2018 The audience score says it all. Don't even pay attention to the critics, the audience knows what they are talking about with this film. "Woman Thou Art Loosed" is fresh in my book. See more Jun 29, 2014 I have been meaning to see this, and I'm glad I finally did. It was a beautiful message about how the hurt that we all experience can lead us to certain points in our life. This movie is about moving past those points and getting the healing and deliverance you need.
