It is especially impressive that Days of Future Past is a success; a film this gooey and complex, with such business-minded scope, should not feel like a real movie at all. Go to Full Review

In an age when more and more movies just feel like stepping-stones toward the next, bigger things, is it so much to ask that it be a good movie all on its own? Go to Full Review

I guess I am a sucker for these sort of time travel films, travelling back in time to change the course of history. Go to Full Review

While more action would of been ideal, there are some great character moments here that this franchise is known for. Go to Full Review

Effectively united some of the elements that X-Men fans had been waiting years to see, though doesn't quite due justice to the source material and squanders the good will of what X-Men: First Class earned the series. Go to Full Review

It’s start is a bit jarring, the future Sentinels look pretty generic, and I could list a few other nitpicks. But in terms of story, storytelling, and sheer entertainment, the movie scores where it counts. Go to Full Review

10/10 See more Gononan B. @biggononanotthelilone Apr 30 X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) is one of the best in the franchise, combining past and future timelines with high stakes, strong performances, and standout scenes like Quicksilver’s slow-motion moment, making it exciting, emotional, and impactful. See more Lucas S @lucasfanking Apr 22 Hands down the best X-Men movie that Fox ever made! Combining the original cast with the new cast was nothing short of a flawless execution, and the acting of Hugh Jackman and Micheal Fassbender really take this movie to the next level. Additionally, both the visuals and dialogue are leagues above previous X-Men entries. If there is one X-Men movie to watch, it's this one. The movie is tightly paced and has an intriguing time travel setup. You really feel the stakes and weight of it all. Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence are the highlight performances here, but everyone does a great job. I wish it had another action scene or two but the scenes it does have are exhilarating and very well choreographed. This is one of the best comic book movies of the 2010s in my opinion! See more Kevin P @RT55971421 Mar 19 A colossal crossover between the original cast and the prequel cast. There's a fun new dynamic as Wolverine now needs to mentor younger and more troubled versions of Xavier and Magneto. Quicksilver is a hilarious new character with so much personality. I love the Quicksilver scene breaking Magneto out of prison and taking the security guards out in slow-motion. It's a creative way to show Quicksilver's POV when he uses his speed powers. Throughout the film, we get heartbreaking performances from James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. We get a heartbreaking emotional breakdown by Charles Xavier and a great conversation between past and future Xavier. It's so incredible watching Magneto lift an entire baseball stadium and then dropping it on the white house. I appreciate how Xavier convinces Mystique by apologizing. The ending is very satisfying, as a new timeline is created. It's a fantastic ending and a satisfying way to wrap up the entire X-Men saga if you just wanted to stop here. See more Read all reviews
