Frank Carden (Morgan Freeman), one of the world's greatest assassins, is handed a lucrative contract to kill a highly secretive billionaire. But in a twist of fate, Carden is involved in a car accident during the job, and when his gun is found after he is admitted to a hospital, federal marshals arrest him. Meanwhile, ex-cop Ray Keene (John Cusack) is hiking with his son, Chris (Jamie Anderson), when Carden's cohorts try to spring him from custody, and soon the pair is caught in the crossfire.

Teddy @Criticalist 1d WRESTLING for CREDIBILITY: How come Morgan Freeman - who is supposed to be the smart guy - doesn’t just sit down in the field near his men? Cusack - who is supposed to be the simple good guy - isn’t going to shoot him or give away their location…nor will he carry Freeman…. This same question keeps returning as I watch this action farce. And how can Freeman - who just got out of the hospital, then get into a cliff sliding car accident and dragged down the river…how can he climb mountains and scale down a steep wet cliff in street shoes? Didn’t anyone read the script before they sank money into this turkey? I would have thought a Freeman-Cusack outing would at least be entertaining, but the dialog is so stilted and hackneyed and the scene changes so sporadic and the scenes themselves look like first-take drafts rather than movie-ready cuts. The only thing this movie has going for it is the scenery, and even that wasn't authentic, having been filmed in Bulgaria, not Washington State. This isn't even a run-of-the-mill thriller. It's about as awful of a movie as one could make. I just have to wonder how Freeman and Cusack got roped into this clunker. Gah! See more Read all reviews
