Season three of Shrinking feels like it’s lost its heart. What once balanced humor with emotional depth now plays more like a string of punchlines and short comedy skits. The characters still crack jokes, but the warmth, vulnerability, and quiet moments that made the show resonate seem to be missing. At times, it veers dangerously close to becoming a Chuck Lorre–style sitcom—big laughs, fast beats, but little emotional payoff. The soul that grounded the earlier seasons has been replaced by a louder, thinner version of itself, making the season surprisingly tough to watch. It’s a real shame. Shrinking used to be great—funny, yes, but also sincere and human. Season three feels like a step away from what made the show special in the first place.
