The Thief Collector (2022) 89% EDIT “The Thief Collector engages those who are looking to have some fun by playing detective and drawing tenuous conclusions about the Alters, but if you’re looking for something beyond that, this film will have just stolen 90 minutes of your life.” – POV Magazine May 8, 2026 Full Review Aki (2025) EDIT “Aki almost feels like a declaration from [Darlene] Naponse: Mother Nature will prevail, regardless of how hard we try to take her for all she’s got. ” – POV Magazine May 6, 2026 Full Review Saigon Story: Two Shootings in the Forest Kingdom (2026) EDIT “It’s the meaningful connections storytellers like Nguyen find that enrich our conversation with history so that we, and our ancestors, may find some sense of peace with the past.” – POV Magazine May 5, 2026 Full Review The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) 78% 7/10 EDIT “Prada 2 makes the case for why we need to encourage writers and journalists, and why they need outlets to thrive.” – Exclaim! Apr 30, 2026 Full Review Michael (2026) 39% 5/10 EDIT “No matter which side of the argument you land, [Michael's] star power, talent in his heyday are undeniable, and 'Michael' doesn't do any of those aspects justice, nor does it grant audiences any meaningful insight into who Jackson was behind the genius.” – Exclaim! Apr 27, 2026 Full Review Lee Cronin's The Mummy (2026) 47% 3/10 EDIT “The titular writer-director Lee Cronin puts the Cannon family through a gory and disgusting hell that somehow feels inconsequential. Also, and more importantly, it's boring.” – Exclaim! Apr 23, 2026 Full Review Maya & Samar (2025) EDIT “Without taking the time to properly understand or investigate Samar’s situation, the film itself merely represents a tourist cosplaying compassion while on the ground” – Globe and Mail Apr 16, 2026 Full Review Mile End Kicks (2025) 88% EDIT “Few filmmakers can make mouth herpes as comedic or endearing as [Chandler Levack] has.” – Globe and Mail Apr 16, 2026 Full Review Speechless (2026) EDIT “[Ric Esther Bienstock] does offer a firm opinion of her own to conclude the film, more importantly, she invites us to form our own.” – Exclaim! Apr 16, 2026 Full Review Bunny!! (2026) 3/5 EDIT “We enter the film hopping to particular conclusions, and we leave just looking for somebunny to hug.” – The Asian Cut Apr 8, 2026 Full Review The Drama (2026) 76% 8/10 EDIT “The Drama rings true to its title, but it serves up far more than piping hot tea.” – Exclaim! Mar 31, 2026 Full Review The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist (2026) 90% 7/10 EDIT “The AI Doc could only come from a singular mind, not a program scraping the internet for parts.” – Exclaim! Mar 26, 2026 Full Review Tow (2025) 77% 7/10 EDIT “Elevated by a tremendous cast led by Byrne, Tow captures an everyday true crime story that's at once unprecedented and entirely relatable.” – Exclaim! Mar 18, 2026 Full Review Clairtone (2025) EDIT “Fortunately, the story of the brand and Ron Mann's direction survive [Nina Munk's] dull re-telling, leaving us with a film that's music to our ears.” – Exclaim! Mar 17, 2026 Full Review The Bluff (2026) 55% EDIT “The Bluff is a vast improvement on Citadel and Heads of State, but the swashbuckling effort still has a long way to go in actually utilizing Chopra Jonas's talents properly. ” – Exclaim! Mar 17, 2026 Full Review Nash the Slash Rises Again! (2025) 7/10 EDIT “[Tim] Kowalski gives us the perfect gateway into the mind of one of Canada's great cultural pioneers.” – Exclaim! Mar 13, 2026 Full Review THE BRIDE! (2026) 57% 7/10 EDIT “A messiness permeates the film in its structure and execution, but I'd posit that's the point — being a woman is a messy fever dream at the best of times.” – Exclaim! Mar 10, 2026 Full Review Montréal, ma belle (2025) 7/10 EDIT “Montreal, My Beautiful honours every decision forced and every desire unsaid, all without judgment. ” – Exclaim! Feb 11, 2026 Full Review Shelter (2026) 65% 5/10 EDIT “No one walks into a movie like Shelter expecting Shakespeare, but when the dialogue proves such a distraction that it prevents us from basking in the B-movie elements, the entire ship goes down.” – Exclaim! Jan 30, 2026 Full Review Mercy (2026) 25% 5/10 EDIT “Had the film simply stuck to its meathead thrills, it would have been far better off. ” – Exclaim! Jan 23, 2026 Full Review Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (2025) 92% EDIT “Wake Up Dead Man demonstrates the best of what these films (and these types of whodunnits) can offer: films focused on entertaining without sacrificing intelligence.” – Exclaim! Jan 16, 2026 Full Review Primate (2025) 78% 7/10 EDIT “Primate is a simple creature feature that bypasses social commentary around the domestication of wild animals or their use in scientific studies, and it's better for it. ” – Exclaim! Jan 9, 2026 Full Review We Bury the Dead (2024) 88% 7/10 EDIT “With We Bury the Dead, Ridley continues to make bold and interesting choices in her post-Star Wars career, and, thankfully, Ridley's latest punt is more Sometimes I Think of Dying than Chaos Walking. ” – Exclaim! Jan 7, 2026 Full Review Is This Thing On? (2025) 87% 8/10 EDIT “Dern's portrayal of Tess reminds us of the sheer powerhouse consistency she's given audiences for decades. Neither character explicitly asks for sympathy from us, but Dern demands it for Tess.” – Exclaim! Jan 7, 2026 Full Review The Housemaid (2025) 73% 5/10 EDIT “A film so close to recapturing the glory days of mid-budget thrillers, the shortcomings of The Housemaid only reminds us of the fun we used to have in cinemas instead of being any fun itself.” – Exclaim!
