Despite the wildly inconsistent tone and insouciance, Citadel's second season finds enough pulpy spy-thriller fun and unexpected charm in Stanley Tucci’s scene-stealing turn to make the self-indulgent series an entertaining, but still disposable watch Go to Full Review

Chris B. @KidCrooks 13h Waayyy better this time around !! Hooks you in from episode 1. See more Chris H @hitchmcguffin 15h Look, I'll be honest: I almost didn't come back for this. S1 was a beautiful mess — gorgeous to look at, impossible to care about. But S2? This is the show Citadel always wanted to be, and I'm glad somebody told the Russos to stop being so serious about it. This is a genuinely fun watch. The action is legitimately great and the new additions are inspired choices. Jack Reynor is a revelation and Matt Berry brings exactly the energy this show needed someone to bring. Now — can we talk about Joe Russo directing four of these episodes while simultaneously pulling double duty on Avengers? That's an absurd workload, and yet you can feel the craftsmanship. It's a genuine treat to see a filmmaker that busy still show up this fully. Is it a masterpiece? No. But it doesn't need to be. It's a sleek, propulsive, globe-trotting spy binge that improves on its first season in almost every way. Queue it up on a Friday night and you won't come up for air until Sunday. A good binge, full stop. See more Some O @SupratipBanerjee 1d Priyanka Chopra is undoubtedly the heart of Citadel Season 2, delivering a performance that blends emotional depth, fierce intensity and effortless screen command. She moves seamlessly between vulnerable emotional moments and explosive action sequences, making Nadia Sinh feel layered, believable and compelling throughout. Her fight scenes are sharp and convincing, but it’s her ability to bring warmth, pain, resilience and charisma to the character that truly stands out. Backed by bigger action set pieces, tighter pacing and improved character dynamics, Citadel Season 2 feels far more engaging than its predecessor, though it still occasionally leans too heavily into glossy spy-thriller excess. See more Laura Patricia C @Laura278 1d Priyanka Chopra delivered as always, great action scenes, this season Nadia has more layers, more emotional weight, definite a highlight, so good; the chemistry with Richard Madden still very alive, that dynamic hate love maintain the tension there, Stanley Tucci fights were amazing, the new cast brings a fresh view, is overall entertaining. Not out of this world but good enough to binge watch the whole thing in one sit. See more Dan T @RT28756406 1d Citadel Season 2 is a really fun ride. Is it the smartest spy show or movie I've ever seen? No. But this season leans into the fun of the genre, brings in a really great supporting cast and has plenty of twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Tune in and don't nitpick and you'll find a really great experience that is a noticeable step up from Season 1. See more Read all reviews
